ANOFOL s.r.l. FOR THE LIGHTING INDUSTRY

The most complete range of different surfaces and finishes, with aluminium purity varying from 99.5% up to 99.98%. ANOFOL SRL manufactures pre-anodised aluminium coils utilising aluminium with specially rolled surfaces, specifically designed to comply with all the many requirements of the lighting industry.

ANOLUX ® PERFORMING ECONOMY

With the registered trademark ANOLUX ®, ANOFOL s.r.l. manufactures aluminium Coil and sheet with very high reflectance properties, low iridescence and low costs. The advantage of the ANOLUX ® range of products is their excellent price/performance ratio.
The standard widths available are 620 mm. and 810 mm. Intermediate sizes are available on request. The gauge range is from 0.3mm to 0.75mm.

The materials utilized in the technical lighting industry are chiefly characterized by five parameters:

1. Specular reflection
Specular reflection is obtained when the angle formed by the lightray incident on the surface of the material is equal to the angle of the reflected ray. The direction of the reflected ray is co-planar to the direction of the incident ray.

2. Diffuse reflection
Diffuse reflection is obtained when the lightray incident on the surface of the material divides into a number of light rays reflected in all directions.

NOTA BENE
a. The higher the value of diffuse reflection is, the more matte the material will be.
b. The lower the value of diffuse reflection is, the more shiny the material will be.

3. Total Reflection
Total Reflection is the sum of Specular Reflection and Diffuse Reflection.

NOTA BENE
a. The higher the value of total reflection of a material is, the higher the final output of a lighting system made with it will be.

The ANOFOL S.r.l. Quality Management System establishes that Total and Diffuse Reflection are measured in accordance with the DIN 5036/3 standard.

4. Gloss
Gloss is the part of light absorbed by a receiver placed on a surface with the same angle as the luminous flux, emitted from a source, incident on the surface of the material. The conventional angles of incidence are: 20° - 60° - 85°.

The ANOFOL S.r.l. Quality Management System establishes that gloss is measured in accordance with the ISO 7668 standard

5. Iridescence
Iridescence is a phenomenon caused by light refraction. This phenomenon occurs when the light crosses a transparent layer (aluminium oxide), hits the metal surface below (aluminium surface), is reflected and crosses back through the same transparent layer (aluminium oxide). At this point the ray of white light is decomposed into the colours of the rainbow (from infrared to ultraviolet).
(refraction = the change in direction of propagation of radiation, determined by variations in propagation velocity in an optically non-homogeneous medium, or in passing from one medium to another).

NOTA BENE
Measurement of the intensity and form of iridescence is not regulated by any standards. The ANOFOL S.r.l. Quality Management System establishes that iridescence is measured in accordance with the following scale:

1 = No iridescence
2 = Low iridescence
3 = Controlled iridescence
4 = Not guaranteed iridescence
